Interlibrary Loan fee -- $3 per filled Request

There is a $3 interlibrary loan (ILL) fee for each filled request. This is a small postage recoup fee for the Municipal users of Anchorage Public Library.

The $3 charge applies to all items that have been shipped to Anchorage for our users.

The charge may be higher for multipart items, or multivolume works, or if the lender has higher costs and the customer has agreed to pay them.

The fee will be charged to the patron when the item is picked up or added to the library account if not picked up.

We are among the many libraries that pass on some of the postage costs to their customers.

Cancelling Requests:

If the ILL department is notified of a cancelled request prior to an item being shipped from another library the customers account will not be charged the $ 3 fee. If a cancellation is placed after another library ships the materials the charges will be applied.
